Businessplan

The business plan as a planning tool

The business plan sets out for yourself and others how the Businesses should be developed. It is a valuable planning and communication tool.

The business plan consists of the following chapters: Executive Summary, Businesses Description, Market Analysis, Products and Services, Marketing and Sales Strategy, Organizational Structure and Management Team (Personnel), Financial Planning (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Liquidity), Operating Plan (Location), Risk Analysis and Timeline. It is also recommended to attach CVs of key employees.

A business plan must be drawn up for around 5 years. Depending on the sector, this can also be drawn up for a longer period.

The frequency with which a business plan should be supplemented or revised depends on various factors, including the business environment, developments in the company and specific requirements. In general, an annual review should take place, with more frequent reviews depending on defined milestones.
