Can OASI contributions be optimized?

As OASI contributions are payable on the salary, the pension plan can only be optimized via the salary paid out, e.g. also for partners working in the Businesses.

No, OASI contributions cannot be influenced. OASI contributions are paid on the full salary. The Federal Council sets the percentage.

The amount of the OASI pension depends on the contribution period, the contributions made and any child-raising and/or care credits. We can calculate your expected OASI pension on the basis of the IC statement. You can also order a pension forecast from the compensation office.

The OASI pension can be withdrawn two years in advance. In the event of early withdrawal, the pension is reduced for life. Women born between 1961 and 1969 can draw their OASI pension three years in advance (transitional generation OASI 21).

The OASI pension can be deferred for a maximum of 5 years. Depending on the length of the deferral, the pension supplement is 5.2 to 31.5 percent.
