Property transfer to the descendants
Informed in just over an hour
On June 12, 2024, over 200 people gathered in the Adler community hall in Schüpfheim for an event on the topic of transferring real estate to descendants. The event was organized by Clientis Entlebucher Bank and Gewerbe-Treuhand to inform landowners about the various aspects and challenges of transferring Real Estate to descendants.
During the event, participants were provided with comprehensive information on the aspects of matrimonial, inheritance, tax and social security law that need to be taken into account in such a transfer. The teams of experts from the two organizers presented detailed information and practical advice to ensure family peace when transferring property.
A key topic of the evening was the concern of many owners that their Real Estate would have to be mortgaged or sold to finance care home costs. The speakers emphasized the importance of early and careful planning in order to avoid such scenarios and keep the home in the family. Various solutions were presented, including the possibility of exchanging the large family home for a smaller condominium and letting the children use the large house.
The event offered participants the opportunity to ask their individual questions and exchange ideas with the experts in personal discussions. The response was consistently positive and many participants expressed their gratitude for the valuable information and expert advice.
The evening in the Adler community hall was not only informative, but also an important step towards giving property owners security and clarity for the future of their Real Estate. Thanks to the support of Clientis Entlebucher Bank and Gewerbe-Treuhand, the participants were able to make informed decisions and set the course for an orderly and peaceful property transfer within the family.
The next joint event will take place on September 18, 2024. The topic will be announced at a later date.
