In conversation with Christian Huber, Co-CEO and CFO of Abacus Research AG

How did you originally come to Abacus - and what was it about the Businesses that particularly appealed to you?
I was lucky enough to join a fiduciary office 36 years ago, which was the first Abacus customer. At the same time, I was in charge of Abacus' Accountants and was able to gradually develop within the Businesses. As a lively and dynamic Businesses, Abacus suits me well. I also appreciate the interaction with customers and employees.
What motivates you personally most about your current role as Co-CEO and CFO?
Thanks to the many years of collaboration with the four owners, a strong basis of trust has been built up. The arrival of younger managers has made it possible to combine experience and the future.
Abacus has been growing continuously for years. In your opinion, what were the most important strategic decisions that made this possible?
Proximity to the customer is key. Our products are developed together with our customers and are strongly solution-oriented. At the same time, we always think outside the box.
What developments and decisions will shape the future? And what role does artificial intelligence play at Abacus?
Industry-specific solutions such as AbaBau are a major topic and continue to offer a lot of potential. Above all, AI should increase customer benefits, make the software more intuitive, simplify processes and improve evaluations.
